ROYAL BRITISH LEGION LUNCH: – Villagers are invited to a Sunday Lunch on Sunday 6 November at 1.30 pm in the Victory Hall. There will be a guest speaker Major-General (RTD) Tim Cross CBE. Tickets priced at £25 per head (half price for RBL members) are available from Threads.

On the High Street a new electricity service alteration cable is being laid on 31 October until 4 November. All these road works will be undertaken with two-way signals in place. ADVANCE NOTICE the use of and parking on Mill Lane, Balcombe, near The Mill House, is temporarily prohibited from Monday 14 November for 3 days between 09:30am - 15:30 pm for Highway Drainage works (Diversion route – Haywards Heath Road, London Road, Stoney Lane, Paddockhurst Lane and vice versa). Also Brantridge Lane, Balcombe, near access to Bucklands, is temporarily prohibited from Tuesday 22 November 2016 for 1 day between 09:30am - 15:30pm for Carriageway Repairs (Diversion route – Brantridge Lane, High Beeches Lane, High Street, Staplefield Road, Handcross Road and vice versa).
