Bands tune up for Rox with White Horse gig

A three-band line-up in Bognor Regis will highlight the talent of the many younger bands and musicians making their mark in the area.

The strong turnout for the fourth Rox showcase will take to the stage at the White Horse pub in Chichester Road on Friday, July 18..

All money raised from the gig will go towards the fast-approaching Rox 2008 '“ on August 2 and 3 '“ and the support of music lovers in the area is needed.

The bands taking part in the showcase are wild and vibrant young four-piece Lulla Violet led by writer, vocalist, guitarist James Redfern with Adam (guitar) Jake (bass) and Danny (drums).

Golden Boulder is Chris Cox, Ellz Purser and Nick Schlanek, formed in March 2002 by Chris and Ellz at junior school when they were just eight.

They have since become Rox regulars as well as performing in venues up to London's Wembley Arena in July, 2006.

The band strive for the best in rock and indie jazz styles mixing classic blues with the latest great indie sounds to create their own material with a ten-track album Campaign.

Completing the line-up is Bognor-based band Hymoglobin who are influenced by Radiohead, Coldplay and Wolfmother.

They have an indie/experimental sound and love exploring different varieties of instruments to express different forms and styles of music whenever they play.
