Barcombe

BOWLING CLUB: During the last two weeks four games have been played in almost ideal weather conditions, which have been appreciated as is shown by the following results- three wins and one very narrow loss. Home games in August: Barcombe 66 Maresfield 39; Barcombe 65 St Francis (Haywards H) 67. Away games in August: Barcombe 81 The Crouch (Seaford) 51; Barcombe 64 St Francis 61. As shown the two games against St Francis were very close, Barcombe losing by two shots at the home game and then winning the away game by three shots. Next month the Short Mat Bowls season starts. This is a winter game played inside. Barcombe will be playing in the Sports Hall at Barcombe School and holding Open Evenings on September 8 and 22 from 7pm.
