The ever-popular event, which takes place between July 4 and 23, will have the theme ‘1066 And All That’, to coincide with the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings.

Cllr Richard Jessop, one of the organisers of the event, said: “Although interpretation of the theme is open to all entrants, ones depicting either Saxons or Normans in a fighting mode may be picked to go in front of the Abbey Gatehouse to provide a display of the battle.”
