Beaver Scouts raise funds for charity and enjoy trip to zoo

THE BEXHILL 9th Beaver Scouts enjoyed a days outing to London Zoo, having raised nearly £400 in a Cheeky Monkey Challenge.

The challenge was to raise funds for Children with Leukaemia and as part of the incentive the scouts got to keep half the money themselves. The remaining costs for the trip were met by the group, along with an Easter raffle.

Accompanied by seven adults the Scouts journeyed to the Capitol by train and Beaver Scout Leader Tracy Turner said they had a great time:

"The children and adults had a fantastic day. A big thank you to all the parents that helped raise funds and helped on the day."

There are places available in the 9th Beaver Scout colony and Tracy would like to hear from anyone who would like their son/daughter to join, or to be placed on the waiting list until they are six years old.
