The beacon in Bexhill will be lit in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday tonight (Thursday, April 21).

The organisation behind the Christmas decorations, Shining Lights, has hastily organised the event today to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s special day.

Director Andrew Crotty said he saw people complaining about the apparent lack of any sort of celebration so they decided to organise it themselves.
