Bexhill remembers the fallen

Bexhill stopped to the remember the war dead during a moving ceremony yesterday (Sunday, November 13).

Hundreds of people gathered in the crisp sunshine to watch as the parade made its way to the war memorial on the seafront.

The traditional Last Post sounded before the two minutes silence.

Various groups and individuals then paid their respects by placing a poppy wreath at the base of the memorial, including the Royal British Legion, Bexhill MP Huw Merriman, town mayor Simon Elford, Rother District Council chairman Paul Osborne, South East Coast Ambulance Service, Sussex Police, the East Sussex Fire Authority and Senlac Scouts.
