“I strongly support all of the NSPCC’s aims, so when you’ve finished laughing at me please, make the humiliation worthwhile and support my cause to raise money for child protection.”
Tracey Bravo, community fundraising manager for NSPCC, said: “Anyone who has secured their own place in the marathon and would like to support the NSPCC can still sign up now.
“It is great to see we already have 500 people running for us including Gareth - their support will go a long way in helping to protect the most vulnerable children in society.”
The charity has six loud cheer points, at locations such as Tower Hill and the Shard, helping NSPCC runners round the course.
