OPEN HOUSE: At 16 Hill Rise, Bishopstone from 11am to 5pm tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. Downland and marine scenes in oils and watercolours by Anthony Morgan-Jones and etchings by Maureen Black will be on view. Refreshments will be available.

WHIST DRIVE: There will be a Whist Drive at Bishopstone Parish Hall tomorrow, Saturday, commencing 7.30pm. Admission costs £2.50 which includes refreshments. All welcome to join this light-hearted evening held in aid of Bishopstone Parish Hall.

RIDE AND STRIDE: A Ride and Stride sponsored walk is on Saturday, September 10. Pauline Martin will lead this seven (or a three and a half) mile walk with a pub lunch.

A CREAM TEA: Will be held at Bishopstone Parish Hall on Saturday, September 17 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. This event is to raise funds for Rise which supports women, children, young people and families affected by domestic violence and abuse in Brighton, Hove and West Sussex. Donations of cakes would be most welcome. This event is being organized by Lyn Thomas.

FREE HORSE MANURE: Is available on west (Newhaven) side of Bishopstone Road between Bishopstone Estate and Bishopstone Pond: help yourself, but please return or replace the bags.
