Blazes at two Worthing homes

A MAN had to be given oxygen by firefighters after a blaze broke out in his kitchen.

The fire alarm sounded at the second-floor flat in Buckingham Road, Worthing, shortly after 12.15am on Saturday, when a pan on the stove caught alight.

The man, who had to be rescued from the building by firefighters, was checked over by paramedics but did not need to go to hospital.

The following day, fire crews were called to a house in Acre Close, Worthing, after a computer caught fire.

By the time firefigheters arrived at 10.35am the blaze was out, but they used a fan to ventilate the property. Nobody was injured.
