Litter: I said a few months ago about litter louts in St Giles’ church car park. To the inconsiderate people who come St Giles’ - come to the church to walk around the church but respect this part of Bodiam, in fact respect all parts of Bodiam do not be litter louts.

Services: the next service at St Giles is family service on November 6 at 11:15 AM. Richard Orchard will take the service on November 13. The remembrance service will start at 10:58 AM and afterwards around about 12:15 PM at the war memorial for wreath laying. We must not forget the service men and women who fought for freedom for us over the years. On the village war memorial we have eight names. Thomas Milton, Grenadier Guards Mons September 14, 1914, Albert Clout, Royal West Kents, September 30, 1914, Theophilous Austin, Royal Fusiliers August 19, 1918, Jack Steiman Mons, Ralph Hale Royal Artillery Anzio Italy 1944, Harold Edwin Long Royal Air Force Hunsel Holland July 21/22nd 1944, Ronald Ernest Simmons Coldstream Guards, Italy September 4, 1944, William Foster Hudson Jessore India February 27, 1944. If anyone has any information on Jack Steiman who died at Mons please let me know.
