National Trust Bookshop: Alan Batter and his wife run the Bookshop at Bodiam Castle and would like to say a big thank you for all donations of books that raise much needed funds for ongoing projects at the castle. The Trust is on the lookout for paperbacks and any other books, call 01580 830436 for details. Alan is now the number two at the castle and he told me he has been a worker for the National Trust for over 21 years, Head of Car Park and Head of WC, he would still like to be Head of the National Trust but he is not the right man for the job, it is time a good man like Alan had a rest not more work.

Mobile Library: is next in the village on the 26th May from 11.30 - 11.55 a.m. at Levetts Lane.

Bodiam Community Friends: is for Bodiam residents that may need a little help with transport, gardening, shopping and small jobs like changing light bulbs etc. 07771 402571 for more information.

Dog owners: unfortunately some dog owners haven’t been clearing up after their dogs, this doesn’t give a very good impression of the dog owners, so please clear up and take the mess home.
