Bodiam

Church: I saw the Vicar of Bodiam Gordon the other day and he told me about the Christmas services at St Giles. Carols are on December 21 at 6pm and midnight communion takes place at 11.30pm. There is holy communion on Christmas Day at 11.15am. It will be good to have the midnight communion at St Giles this year but please support it and do not make it a silent night.

Post: I cannot make out the post services for Levetts Lane, Bodiam. I was 9.30am - next day I am told 1.15pm. What will it be like at Christmas?

School: The pre-school and reception children hold a Christmas Party at 2pm and Year 1 - 6 children at 3pm on December 19 at our Church of England primary school. The children from year 5 and 6 went down to Bodiam Castle to judge the Knight’s Tale competition. They all had a fantastic time.

Bridleway: Please, to all the people who ride horses up and down the footpath from the village to the flats at the top - this is not for you. It is for people to walk on and if you have horses on the path it could be dangerous.

National Truat: By the time the residents of Bodiam read this Village Voice the National Trust at Bodiam will have a special offer on of 10 percent off purchases in the gift shop when Bodiam residents spend over £25 and a free cup of tea or coffee in the tea room when you buy a slice of cake. There is free parking for all shop and tea room customers - who said let them eat cake?
