Many people from the village go to the Wish Valley Surgery at Hawkhurst Moor. The surgery is now open from 8.30am to 6.30pm but still no Saturdays.

It is not before time that John Saxby and his better half had some good news. Their daughter Bonnie has had a girl in the Conquest Hospital at Hastings. Congratulations to them both.

The National Trust must not forget its staff under the dynamic leadership of Nick Waterhouse, with William, Andrew and Alan who rescued a man from the castle moat who had fallen in. The National Trust lifeboat was on hand but Nick could see the man and, with Andrew, pulled the man out. I am sure we are only to happy too have men like Nick who put his at life at risk and to know that when you walk around the castle you are in safe hands.

St Giles Church is to have a coffee morning on July 13 at the Old Rectory, Bodiam, starting at 10.30am. Please do all you can to support.
