Many people ask me do you see or know Dr C J R Lewis who for many years was a local GP and has a home in the village. Most of his time is spent on the Rye Gold Course and in his garden and shopping for food. After all this time many people have not forgotten him. I know when my mum died my sister and myself were only too glad to see Dr Lewis turn out and at that time you are glad to see a GP you know, not one at the end of a phone and you are just a number. Will we return to the days the local GP comes out to you late at night or the weekend perhaps?

Claremont Senior School are to have a Speech Day and Prize Giving on Friday July 5 at 11am.
