BODY OF MISSING WOMAN FOUND
The body of a missing woman has been found just west of Newhaven Bridge early this afternoon (Wednesday, May 3).
The Coroner's Office has confirmed Sylvia Dennerstein's body was found on the river bank. She was 58.
She lived in The Kingsway, Hove
The police are not treating the death as suspicious.
The Coroner's Officer is continuing her enquiries and a post mortem is expected to be carried out later this week.

Hide AdOn Monday, April 3, police received a report of a rucksack left at the end of a pontoon in Newhaven Harbour. Subsequently, the coastguard and Sussex Police helicopter searched the area.
Sussex Police Underwater Search Unit searched Newhaven Harbour close to where the rucksack was found.
