Bognor Regis man named '˜good egg' in Mr Kipling's Egg-ceedingly Good Egg Awards

A BOGNOR Regis man has been announced as one of the UK's good eggs.

Thomas Blackler, 29, who lives off West Street, has been awarded the egg-citing accolade of being named one of the UK’s good eggs as part of Mr Kipling’s Egg-ceedingly Good Egg Awards.

Thomas was nominated by his brother Matthew, after he took a tumble a family skiing holiday in Bulgaria last year.

“I experienced a nasty fall that left me with concussion and memory loss, and luckily, my good egg of a brother stepped in to help out, and ensured I got down the slopes safely,” said Matthew.

“As well as being a great mate on holiday by helping me get back on my feet, Thomas is always assisting our grandma who lives near his home.”

Thomas said he was surprised and proud when his brother had nominated him.

He said: “I was proud. But helping him was something I would have done for anyone.”

The awards are backed by television personality and Loose Women presenter, Andrea McLean who will host an exclusive celebratory afternoon tea and cake party in London for the winner.

In the next phase, independent judges will whittle down the final choices to decide on the winner.
