The Holy Trinity Archive Group has detailed the history of Holy Trinity Church in Rushams Road and the surrounding area in western Horsham, formerly known as ‘The Common’, and raised more than £1,000 towards the book’s printing costs.

Jane O’Sullivan, a member of the group, said: “I will be really glad when it is out, but relieved.

“It is wonderful in a book that contains a large chapter on the history of the local area, that so many current local businesses, individuals and organisations were able to help us financially.”

Benefactors are thanked along with an ‘In Memoriam’ section where contributors paid tributes to loved ones.

The book contains dozens of colour photographs, many of which were found when Jane and Libby Risby stumbled upon boxes that were almost thrown away.

The group is made up of book researcher Rosemary Stock, and Peter Hooker, who drew the picture above and compiled photographs.
