Scott, 70, said: “I have wondered and wandered extensively, residing for one year or longer in eleven countries. Working, taking part in expeditions, exploring, photographing, wandering freely, and wondering with infinity. I have accumulated 1.3 million photos.
“This book touches on many aspects of life – both inner and outer realms. It is also an introduction to my work. The world is my oyster. I wonder and wander seeing what comes my way. I care not for time. The concept of countries is antediluvian. I am an internationalist.
“I love photography. Wherever I am, and have been, whatever place I am in, and have been, there are many wonderful things to relish and some challenging things to overcome. When one explores and scrutinises at local levels around hidden and mischievous corners, everything appears interesting and worth documenting.
“Now that I have turned to exhibiting and publishing, I have made a list of books – 27 – to publish. The two referred to here are an overview. I will end up publishing a dozen or so future volumes, all being of a more specific nature eg Antarctica, Uyghur, Monastic Retreats. I am being encouraged by my publisher to publish my poems too.”
