Bowled over!

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD cricketer was bowled over after producing an astonishing performance in only his third ever game.

Ethan Guest returned the remarkable bowling figures of 6-4 from four overs when playing for Little Common Ramblers' under-12s A team.

The Little Common Primary School pupil's heroics earned his side a 46-run victory over Crowhurst Park A on Tuesday, last week.

Ethan's sestet of victims, on top of two wickets from James Vaughan and a couple of run-outs, meant that Park were bowled out for just 43.

Little Common had earlier posted 89-4 thanks largely to a fine opening partnership between Vaughan and top-scorer Christopher Meredith (37). Alex Coombes added some useful runs late on.

The East Sussex Junior League game then turned into the Ethan show, although fellow under-10s players Nick Richardson, Ed Feist, Griff Morgan and Seb Wilkins all competed well.

Ethan, of Wealden Way, is the younger brother of talented Little Common Ramblers colts players Callum and Elliott.
