Boxing champ to host Yapton charity event

The Olive Branch Pub will host a charity night with former undisputed world middleweight champion, Alan Minter.

The event will raise funds for the Chestnut Tree House and Help for Heroes.

Landlord Doug Haw said: “This should be an entertaining evening with a range of activities in support of two charities that are very close to the hearts of many locals.

“Alan will be giving a speech, there will be videos streamed of some of his fights and there will be a charity auction.

“People will have the chance to have their photograph taken with Alan and there will be some specialist drinks on offer.”

The evening will finish with a disco, and all profits will go directly to the two charities.

It’s not too late to donate items for the charity auction.
