BREAKING: Firefighters at scene of Lewes blaze

Firefighters are at the scene of a major fire in Lewes this morning (Tuesday).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service say six appliances from Lewes, Barcombe, Brighton, Newhaven, Uckfield and Heathfield were sent to a house in Upper Stoneham at around 10.25am

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are currently at the scene using two hose reels and two main jets to tackle the fire.

Both police and ambulance are in attendance and all occupants have been accounted for.
