BREAKING: Helicopter called out as suspected illegal immigrants seen running from van

The Sussex Police helicopter was scrambled yesterday (Thursday) after a group of suspected illegal immigrants were seen running from the back of a lorry in Westham .

The drama unfolded in the early afternoon when a group of males were seen getting out of the lorry.

Police rushed to the scene and the force helicopter could be seen circling the area around Langney Shopping Centre and Shinewater.

No further details have been released by police but several people and a lorry driver have been arrested and remain in police custody.
