BREAKING NEWS: Cars fall off lorry

A flat-bed lorry was taking 11 cars to a scrap yard.

It was passing outside the King's Head pub in Lower Horsebridge, Hailsham.

Five of the cars fell off and one hit the side of a house.

Lampposts and walls were also flattened.

Police have closed the road and one fire engine is at the scene.

No one is believed to have been injured.

A member of staff at the pub said: 'We went outside after it happened and a lot of cars had come off.

'I am looking outside at the scene now.

'It is not an everyday thing you see.

'It is a dangerous bend.'
