Methodist Church: We at Trinity Methodist would like to thank the few people who came to our Open Day on 20th June and also the responses to the questionnaire we delivered to the houses in Broad Oak. Friday 3 July: Yoga is at 9.30am in Udimore Community Hall. Brede Farmers Market is in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12 noon Locally grown or made goods for sale, some unique. While there take time to catch up with friends over a cup of Brede’s Short Bowlers set up at 7.30pm in Brede Village Hall.

Saturday 4 July: The Brede Giants at Brede Waterworks will be open today from 10am to 4pm- a good place to take the whole family and it is free. In Brede Village Hall tonight the Village Dance takes place at 7.30pm, it’s time again to get out the sparkly shoes and dance sequence, ballroom or latin, and have areally good time.

Saturday 5 July: The Church Services are as follows: Father Anthony White conducts the Mass service at 9.00 am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church on the old Northiam Road, if you need to contact the Father his number is 01424 773125 At St George’s Church Sung Eucharist starts at 9.30am and Father Martin can be reached on 01424 883408. Our Cricketers are in action at home today in the Recreation ground and they are playing against Clive Vale at 2pm. good luck lads! Rainbow Trout’s Family Fun Day is taking shape and they have lots planned. Bouncy Castle, Music from the 1066 Rockitmen in the garden from 2pm, Name the Teddy Stall, Win a football, Minion Tombola with Big Minions to win as well as the new purple ones!! Raffles, BBQ, The Boules Team are challenging anyone to play them and Beat them! Let them know if you want to have a game, they are happy to teach you and its really good fun. Soft Play Equipment and hopefully Face painting (still trying to track one down!!) Fingers crossed for the weather!! Uniformed groups - The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, the Brownies meet from 5pm – 6.30pm for girls 7-11 years old. Tuesday 7 July: Pilates are in Udimore Community Hall at 9.15 and 10.25am Brede Painting for Pleasure group meet at 9.30am in Brede Village Hall. Flamenco dancing is in Udimore Community Hall at 11.30am.

Wednesday 8 July Brede WI meet in Brede Village Hall at 2pm the speakers are from Wiltshire Farm Food and Visitors are very welcome to join them.

Mobile Library is visiting Udimore Community Hall at 11.45am – 12.15pm coffee and biscuits will be available there. The bus the goes to Reedswood Road between 1.25 pm and 2pm it then travels to Brede Village Hall and will be there from 2.10pm – 2.40pm

Thursday 9 June: Sally is in Brede Village Hall at 9.30am with Stretch and Tone. The Doctors surgery is in the Small Hall of Brede Village Hall at 12 noon. Friendly Circle meet at 2pm at Merryments for our garden visit and cream tea. Please note: No evening meeting.

Saturday 11 July: The Rye Singers will present A Summer Concert ‘On Wings of Song’ in St George’s Brede at 7.30pm Tickets £ 8.50 to include refreshments and they are available from Bobbie Boud 01424 882549 or Mike Iliffe 01424 882991 Rye Singers have kindly offered to do this concert entirely for Church funds. Please Support this event.

Grannies Attic would like all kinds of objects d’art antiques, china, knicknacks etc hopefully better than average, have a clear out and see what you can find. Ruth’s Emporium, requires Jams ,Pickles and Chutney’s. Ruth has lots of Jars if you need any 01424 882631. Plants & Produce is always popular so if you have any that can be sold please take them to the Church Friday 28th August or early Saturday morning Sally will be very grateful. She would also like garden tools, pots and other garden paraphernalia. Vicki 012424 883408 is hoping people will come forward to offer to help for a couple of hours with the catering. Washing up, drying up and dishing up. Not all at once I hasten to add. Please contact David 01424 882037 if you can help for a couple of hours with car parking; and lastly Peter and Andrew would like hydrangeas to decorate the green, please take them in the evening to the green opposite the Red Lion on Friday 28th of August Whew a long list. There must be something in that lot that you could offer to help with, I know it will be gratefully accepted.
