Sunday 1 June St Georges Church Brede celebrates the Family Eucharist at 9.30am all welcome. The Methodist Church begin their service at 10.30am and Mrs Chris Jones will be leading this mornings Worship. The weather is keeping us on our toes but lets hope the sun shines for our cricketers and that they do well against the Hastings Wanderers at home in the Recreation Ground. We wish them good luck! Andy has been in touch and says they did not win the game against Burwash 4 May as we already know but it did not help that they only had 9 players (feel sorry for them and if you like cricket join the team super quick.) At some point Tom Waters had 6 wickets for 48 runs his Brede best so well done Tom and Stuart Newble managed 3 wickets for 32 runs. In the end Burwash were all out for 120 and Brede 43 runs all out. Better luck this time. 18 May Northiam v Brede. Brede 111 all out, Graeme Dinning 21, Trevor Brown 13 and Chris Waters 10 were the highlights.

Northiam 113-8 Alastair Barrett our best bowler with figures of 7-2-16-3. Northiam won a nail biter by 2 wickets. Last week, 25 May Lydd v Brede.

Lydd 201-9, Scott Turner the pick of the bowlers with 8-2-14-2, Ian Sutton also excelled taking 2 wickets in his 5 overs his best Brede effort. Also of note was a superb run out throw by Stuart Newble. Brede 67 all out, a pretty dismal effort saved only by 19 from Ed Avann and a determined 7 not out from Nigel McDonagh.
