Friday 6 September visit the Friday Farmers Market for your weekly groceries, held in the Village Hall 10 – 12. In the evening Short mat bowls will take place in the Hall at 7.30pm. The Post Office services are open from 11am – 1.00pm in Broad Oak General Stores.

Saturday 7 September the ballroom and sequence dancers will twirl around the Village Hall at 7.30pm. The Methodist Church will be having a Mini Family Festival in Park Road from 1pm – 5pm

Sunday 8 September 9.30am sung family Eucharist at St George’s Brede and at 10.30am Mrs B Hampton will be the preacher at Trinity Methodist Church. The Cricketers will be playing against Bodiam at home in the Recreation ground 1pm. An invitation to a Jazz Afternoon from 3-5pm at the Rainbow Trout, that should liven up your Sunday afternoon.

Monday 9 September In Brede Village Hall today Age Uk Day centre is open 10,30am – 3pm., Judy Larry and Ian will provide the entertainment this afternoon. The Whist Players at 7.30pm. In the small Hall at 4.00pm Rainbows they and all the other uniformed groups return after their summer break. Brownies are at 5.30pm. Tonight; Rye Mother’s Union meet at 7.30pm in the old Fe Centre.

Tuesday 10 September Painting for pleasure is held in the Village Hall. at 9.30am. Messy Church is held in Udimore Parish Community Hall at 4pm. Children must take a parent or supervising adult with them. More information on the website. http://www.stgeorgesbrede.org.uk/

Beavers are in the Scout Hut at 5.30pm - 6.30pm Helpers and a Scout Leader are needed now, if you can assist Please Contact Colin Ward Group Leader 01424 852413 Cubs follow Beavers from 6.30pm – 8pm Guides meet at Udimore Hall at 7.15pm

Wednesday 11 September WI meets in the Village Hall at 2pm prospective new members always welcome.

Thursday 12 September Stretch and Tone with Sally is at 9.30am at the Village Hall and at 7.30pm Friendly Circle also welcomes visitors and new members.

Friday 13 September Hearing Link are fundraising and will have a cake stall and be doing the refreshments at the Farmers Market. Please support them and if possible bake a cake to bring along to be sold.

Future Events

Thursday 19 September A new flower arrangement club starts for those who are hoping to begin or expand their floral knowledge. ‘Design with Flowers’. begins in Udimore Parish Hall. Between 7pm and 9pm. The cost is £2.00. The subject is An Autumn Arrangement with Flowers and foliage from the hedgerow and/or your garden. Pots, floral foam and pot tape etc will be available on the sales table or If you know that you will require these items contact me, Rhiannon 01424 882037 so that they can be reserved for you.

Saturday 21 September at St Mary in the Castle Hullabaloo. Performers from all over Sussex will give non stop entertainment from 12 – 6pm. Tours of this iconic building will take place at intervals throughout the day. Hear about the ghosts, visit the crypt and sit in Queen Adelaide’s Pew. This is Hastings very own Tardis. Go and join the fun.

Friday 27 September join the Worlds biggest coffee morning at St Mary’s Community Hall Udimore in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be a bring and buy, Plant and Cake stall. The organisers will welcome cakes, plants etc. on the day.
