Really good news has been passed to me from Joan Hester who is delighted to report that Battle Transport Services will commence a weekly bus to Sainsbury’s on Monday 7th October. The collection points are; the bus stop on the Northiam Road at 9.30am then the Village Hall at 9.32am and the Red Lion at 9.33 am collecting passengers in between. I imagine timings will be a bit out after the first stop depending on the amount of people using the service, their agility and how many other stops are made, however they intend to arrive at Sainsbury’s at 9.50am. The bus begins its return journey at 11.30am arriving back in the village about midday. It will drop off and pick up people outside their door. Joan is tremendously grateful to Battle Transport for their hard work to initiate this service. There will be a reminder nearer the date but it may be a good idea to jot it down in your diaries now.
