Among thousands of runners taking to the streets for the Brighton half marathon on Sunday will be the Partridge Green brewery’s team of four bottles.

Spectators of the half marathon can look out for their favourite beers; Festival, Revelation, Hophead and American Pale Ale – also known as Steve Scott, Paul Prosser, Simon Ho and Chris Mallinson.

Each team member is no stranger to marathon running, with one a Spartathlon finalist, one a full marathon runner and a Team GB duathlete.

Not only concerned with raising money for The Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, the team is also taking on a world record attempt, hoping to complete the 13.1 miles within a time of 1hr 37min.

Simon Ho, who works in the Dark Star account team, said: “We were inspired by the team from Brighton-based craft brewery and wholesaler, Brighton Bier, who currently hold the record – maybe we can get a few more brewers involved in this next year, each running for our own charity.”

The race begins at 9am and the team hopes to have crossed the finish line by 10:45am.

Anybody wishing to sponsor the team is kindly asked to make a donation to The Rockinghorse Childen’s Charity.
