She said: “What a great surprise for our winners in Brighton! I’m thrilled for them and I hope they enjoy their winnings.”

The news comes after two residents in Albion Street won £1,000 each yesterday (Tuesday, January 28) when BN41 1DQ was lucky.

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales from the lottery goes to to charities and People’s Postcode Lottery says players have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of causes.

Today’s draw was promoted on behalf of The Wildlife Trusts, which looks after more than 2,300 nature reserves and operates some 100 visitor and education centres across the country.
