Britney cancellation rumours '˜fake news', Pride organisers say

Britney Spears is headlining Brighton Pride

Rumours that Britney Spears has cancelled her Brighton Pride performance have been quashed by the event organisers.

Several posts on Twitter suggested that the pop icon had pulled-out of her up-coming headline slot at Brighton Pride festival.

One user tweeted: “I was told Britney Spears cancelled Brighton Pride and now I’m seeing she hasn’t

“I’m confused and sad because I cancelled going to Brighton because I thought she cancelled.”

But, the official Brighton Pride Twitter account denied these claims.

In a reply to another concerned Twitter user, they posted: “Sorry, but that’s fake news from fake sources, it’s going to be an amazing show, we can’t wait.”

The singer will perform to a sell-out crowd at Brighton Pride Festival on Saturday August 4, making it the first European date on her 2018 Piece of Me tour.
