Burglar strikes at Battle home

A BURGLAR broke into a home in North Trade Road in Battle whilst the occupants were out shopping.

The intruder entered the building between 8-11.30am last Friday (July 15) and made an untidy search before stealing cash, an iPod and speaker system.

Police believe the burglar entered the building via a window and officers are reminding residents to keep their windows and doors secure.

The incident is not being linked to a recent spate of burglaries in the town.

Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously or has any information about the break in is asked to contact Battle police on 0845 60 70 999.
