Summer Show: Tomorrow the Horticultural society will be holding their annual Summer Flower & Vegetable show. Exhibits must be at the Swan Meadow sports pavilion by 11am, when judging will begin. Visitors are invited to go along from 2.15pm. On display will be flowers, vegetables floral art, photography cookery and children’s classes, so lots to look at. Entry is free but there will be a raffle and refreshments. Good luck to all the exhibiters.

Football: Also tomorrow there is to be a charity football match at the Court Meadow playing fields in Mayfield. The match is between Mayfield football club and Burwash. They are playing in aid of Cancer Research. Kick off is at 1pm. Please go along and support this event, there will be a BBQ and refreshments all afternoon and a raffle will be held. Fingers crossed the weather behaves.

Walk: the next walk for strollers will be held on Wednesday morning. Ijon Jenner would be pleased to have your company as he leads the way over the beautiful countryside that is Burwash. The walkers will meet in the Bear Car Park ready for a 9am departure. After a lovely stroll with like minded people the walk will end about lunch time.

Whist: The next monthly Whist Drive will take place on Thursday evening at the Burwash Village hall from 7pm. These fun evenings are for all levels of players and are aimed at enjoying a game while in good company. Entry is £3 and includes refreshments. A raffle is also held. Theatre: don’t forget to get your ticket for the next production of The Rude mechanical Theatre company which will take place next Friday evening at the Swan Meadow Playing fields. These fun but risqué productions are a wonderful way to spend an evening with friends. Tickets are available from Londis store, High street Burwash, or online at www.therudemechanicaltheatre.co.uk at £13 for adults, £12 for Seniors, £10 for students, £7 for children or a family ticket at £33.
