Quiz: The monthly quiz night at The Pavilion in Burwash Common will take place to night. Teams of six players are invited to join the fun. The entrance fee is given back as prize money, and the licenced bar will be open. To find out more please call Halina Keep on 01435 882183.

Wartime Reflections: Tomorrow, Saturday there is to be a special event to commemorate the outbreak of WW1, bringing alive the period with a collection of thought provoking and entertaining memories, memorabilia and music. It is being held in St Bartholomew’s Church at 4pm. Everyone of any age is welcome to go along. Entry is free. For more details please call Sarah Walker 01435 882789.

Vegas Night: The ever popular Burwash Common & Burwash weald Residents Association’s Vegas night will take place tomorrow evening in the Pavilion from 7.30pm. Walk: The next Parish footpath walk will take place on Monday morning. This is an open invitation for anyone who enjoys walking to go along and join them. The walks leave the Bear car park at 9am and take in some of the network of public footpaths that cross this villages of Burwash, Burwash Weald & Burwash Common. Roger Cloke will be your guide and by joining him you will be helping to keep the footpaths in good repair and in use for others to enjoy too. You will return in time for lunch.

Flowers: The Burwash and district flower arrangement club will have a meeting in the burwash village hall on Monday from 2.15pm. This months demonstrator will be Mrs Gill Sadler who’s working title will be Joy to the World, which would suggest that there will be a Christmas feel to her arrangements. All members are welcome to attend. Non-members may also join them for entry fee of £4.50. The meeting will end with a raffle, tea & mince pies.

Quiz: There are just a couple of tables left for hte fun quiz evening being held in the Burwash village hall on 22nd November. Teams of six players are invited to go along and join in the fun and give their brains a workout. Those great quiz masters Steve Bennett & Terry Parker will be in charge (or maybe not) but we can be certain we will have a laugh or two.
