Burwash

Last Saturday evening players in the East Sussex County short mat bowls B Team gathered in the Burwash village hall for their end of season dinner. They enjoyed a choice from a menu for three courses with coffee and mints. After the meal the team manager thanked everyone who played saying she thought we had finally begun to get as teams as well as a team. Thanks were given to all those who use their cars to take players to matches against other counties. She was given a bouquet of lovely red flowers as a thank you for her work. Thanks are given to Marjorie Axell, Gill Saunders, Nina Davis and Claire & Rhiannon Chenery Roth for their help with the meal.

Last week another course of the Community weight loss challenge began. We were delighted to welcome along new people who all have the same desire, to lose excess weight. It is not too late for you to join us. We meet every Tuesday night at 7pm in the Catholic Church meeting room. If you need help to get your weight under control then do feel free to join us. No public weigh-in, everything is done with discretion, but we do find it helps us to have other people to discuss things with and we do have fun. Call Sue Tonkin on 01892 784741
