St Bartholomew’s Church is hosting it’s ever popular Burwash Has Talent show tonight. Talented local people would be delight for you to go along and hear them sing, play instruments, tell jokes etc. The fun begins at 7.30pm and you get to vote for your favourite at the end of the evening. Entrance is £5 for adults and £3 for children payable at the door. Good luck to all those who are entering.

Tomorrow afternoon the Burwash Not so Young club invite you to Come to Tea at the village hall between 2.30pm and 4pm. Various stalls including raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac, books, cakes, produce and more will be ready for you to browse. Entry is £2 and includes a delicious cream tea.

Monday morning Roger Cloke would be delighted to have you join him in the next monthly Parish footpath walk. They will leave the Bear car park at 9am and take in some of the network of public footpaths, helping to keep them open and in good repair so that we can all enjoy them. The walks are usually over in good time for lunch.

Two events for your diaries for next Saturday include a concert by The Warbleton Brass Band at the village hall from 3pm. Entrance is £5 payable at the door. Refreshments and a raffle will be available. Proceeds will go to Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion.

The other event is the annual Bonfire and Firework display held by the burwash Bonfire society at the Swan Meadow playing fields from 7pm. Halloween fancy dress, with prizes for the best. Music and food & drink. Admission is by donation, so please be generous.

The new postal quiz is selling well but we do have more copies available. £2 a copy gets you 100 anagrams of famous people with a place in their name ie Jack London. 15% of our takings will be given in prize money, the proceeds going to Admiral Nurses, Dementia care in the community. To get a copy please send £2 and a stamped addressed envelope. You have until 16 December to return your answers. Clue - easiest way to do anagrams is to get the scrabble tiles out!
