Burwash village voice

The Burwash horticultural society are holding their Summer show tomorrow at the Pavilion in Swan Meadow Playing fields.

The exhibits will be staged from 9am and judging will take place at 11am. Visitors can go along at 2.15pm to see the winning exhibts of flowers, vegetables, photographs, cooking and childrens classes. A raffle and teas will be on sale. Good luck to all the exhibitors.

Once again we are to be treated to a show by the Rude Mechanical theatre company. They will be at the Playing fields in Burwash on Friday 10th Augusts. This year the show is called Who Saw Marjory Daw, and promises to be great fun, set in the 1960’s, wonder if i can still get into my mini skirt!!!! Tickets are available now from the burwash News Agents or the Box Office on 01323 501260, prices £12 adults, £11 seniors, Students£10 children £6. Buy on the day all will be £13. Picnics can be taken along to the field from 6pm, the show starts at 7.30pm. Don’t forget your own chairs etc.

The Burwash ladies group’s august meeting will be held at the Pavilion in Burwash Common, when they will enjoy their summer lunch. All members are welcome to go along, to find out about it and transport, call Anne cutler on 01435 883566.

The Burwash Common After Eight club’s August meeting will tkae the form of a walk and pub meal. It takes place on Wednesday and is being organised by Mavis and co. To find aout more about the evening or about the group in general, call Jan McCartney on 01435 882117.
