Plans for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations are well under way for the whole Parish to take part in and enjoy. It is good to see that all three villages have come together for the weekend of Church services, parties, dances, sport and fairs. All children under 14 on 5th June will be presented with a mug. If you have an eligible child and you live in the parish, you should contact Jon jenner on 01435 882045 and quoting Diamond jubilee Mugs. Leaflets are being dropped through all letter boxes telling of times and activities. The committee is looking for someone to organise teas on Sunday/Monday. Call Steve Mintram if you can help. Talking of the celebrations, have you seen the lovely display in the window of a house in the High street. Patriotic with flags and commemorative items but also this from years gone by.. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into it. Do take time to have a look.
