Bus driver rescued by firefighters after crash

Firefighters were sent to the scene of a crash in Brighton involving a double-decker bus and a car in Brighton.

The bus driver had to be rescued after being unable to get out of the cab.

East Sussex Fire and rescue Service said its crews from Roedean, Brighton and Lewes were called to the junction of Natal Road and Lewes Road, Brighton, at 5.29pm yesterday (January 30).

A fire service spokesman said: “A driver was stuck in the cab but unable to exit and was rescued by crews.”
