Businessmen's rally to Italy in aid of Conquest

A group of businessmen are taking part in a banger rally across Europe to raise money for the Conquest Hospital.

Keith Reilly, director of K-Tech Supplies Ltd in Harley Shute Road, St Leonards and Mark O'Connor, from Kenward Pullen Ltd, together with Keith Robertson and Nick Clark, from MRA Ltd, are roughing it for a 3,000-mile trip from Hastings to Naples in Italy in aid of the hospital's children's ward.

They will be setting off on Thursday for the Staples2Naples challenge.

Mr Reilly said: "We will be expecting breakdowns, challenges, and hopefully some hilarities too.

"We are doing this to raise money for the Kipling Ward at the Conquest, which provides healthcare for children with serious illnesses such as cancer and hope to raise enough money to provide the ward with much-needed additional funding for facilities and equipment.

"Many of us have had family or friends cared for at the Conquest and the staff there do an excellent job of looking after our little ones at the Kipling Ward."
