Cafe plans put on hold
The application for a new cafe and six flats in place of the present buildings was deferred by members until more detailed plans are submitted.
The proposals would see number five and number seven Marina demolished and replaced with a new restaurant and flats.

Hide AdCouncillors said at Thursday's planning meeting they supported the scheme in principal, but the plans in front of them left too many unanswered questions.
Cllr Brian Kentfield recommended deferring so officers could find out about ventilation, fire escape routes and the number of parking spaces.
He said: "I can't believe a restaurant at ground floor level and the basement area is capable of operating without air conditioning.
"I don't think it is acceptable as we see it now.
"I would also ask the officers to go back to the applicant and say there should be more parking on the site."

Hide AdCllr David Vereker said: "Will the (parking) spaces be designated? Otherwise it will just be a bun fight. They should be observed."
Cllr Deirdre Williams added: "I do have concerns, but it is a superb design and I wouldn't want the applicants to think we are not happy with it.
"It would be a really, really good development for the town because it compliments the De La Warr Pavilion and is going to improve that area tremendously.
"I want to send that message back."
