This Sunday is Rememberance Day a special time for so many of us in Camber. There is a service with communion at the church led by Rev Malcolm Pickering a villager here, the sevice will be at 10.30 am .There will be the laying of a wreath and some poppies will be placed in the church yard.This is a moving service and an opportunity to reflect on all of our service men and women past and present to whom we owe so much. As always there will be a cuppa to follow the service.

Terry has more good news to announce concerning the Memorial Hall he has been successful in winning a £2000 grant to add 2 more electric shutters in the doctors surgery and 2 in the foyer that will replace the existing pull cord ones.Congratulations to Terry and Vanessa for their success in making this happen.

The offering from Camber Country on Saturday 17th November is an Irish act Johny Marks he is one of the favourite acts on the circuit and always well received for more information and tickets phone Terry on 226887 or Pete on 225250.

It is nice to see that Pontins are erecting new plantings in the grass area alongside their boundary opposite the central bus stop.

People are often asking me about issues that affect our village, I can only say to those Go to the Parish Council meetings that are held in the Memorial Hall each month there you will also have the opportunity to direct questions to both Rother District Council and East Sussex County councillers that are present at the meeting, and of course you can always write in to the newspaper about anything concerning Camber that you feel strongly about., the

All is fairly quiet around the Camber Beach , although Rob Cass our Coastal Control Officer has been busy hauling animal carcasses off the beach that had possibly fallen into flooded rivers and washed out to sea, for this purpose I remember that old builders bags were very useful to help with the task.

I have heard some exciting news that will bring some Christmas cheer to many people in Camber we are to get a Christmas tree and its 18 feet tall and will be placed on the corner of the Jubilee field, this being made possible by Ward Homes who have very kindly donated £500.00 for the purpose, this is not all, I have also heard that a very kind member of the village is to supply the lights for the Christmas tree .Acts of kindness such as these bring a lot of cheer in these difficult times that we are having.So thank you to them.
