A big Sorry to Mia who sang the Adele song Make me feel your love when I wrongly reported Let me feel your love, at Baz and Lisa’s anniversary,

However she sang it beautifully, I’m told.

Reverend Dick Dengate of apple growing fame led the service at St Thomas last Sunday. He treated us to a very topical and thought provoking eucharist with an olympic theme. The Lithurgy was written by Liam Beadle, a member of the Iona Christian Community on the Isle of Iona in Scotland. This Sunday the Rev Richard will lead the service, starting at 10.30 am.

I would like to remind more senior members of the village that Pop-In (social group) meets in Thomas Longley Hall at 3.30pm - 5.0pm for a cup of tea and cake and Larri the parish nurse will be happy to give you further info. or arrange transport her number is 07858 449 360

The Mobile library visits Camber each Friday throughout the year , It parks in the car park of Camber Castle from 11.0am- 2.0pm It will allow you internet access as well as offer free computer lessons ask for Shane he is very skilled but not too scary.

Once again the beach at camber has been very busy over the past week and Rob Cass the coastal office and Dan our PCSO have had many incidents to deal with some very serious, which Dan will outline next .But I found it very rewarding to hear that visitors to the beach , had returned back home and sent really positive feedback praising the efficient way that they had managed the situations as they arose.

I would like to point out that both Rob and Dan constantly work together as a team with the beach operatives in keeping it safe for our visitors and us to enjoy .It is really reassuring to know that they are there.

Another busy week at Camber for the police but also other partner agencies, such as ambulance, Coastguard, RNLI and the council, with exceptional weather mid week, we saw the busiest day in Camber we as the police have experienced for 9 years, with 27,000 visitors on Wednesday, with 67 missing, found, lost children (all reunited!) its been a very hectic week I can say! with first aid incidents, children locked in cars after the central locking failed, kite surfing incidents needing ambulances, weaver fish stings, and even a hover craft beaching up on the beach, Op Radcott teams have really had everything thrown at them this week, with Rother district councils beach patrols run by coastal control officer Rob Cass working really hard and effectively, something which rob and his management are very proud off, as im sure your aware this week there was a very serious incident in Camber which made the headlines on radio news and the internet, due to the nature of the incident which involved persons in distress in the water, I wont comment to much, but will say that our thoughts are with all the casualties and hope that they all make a speedy recovery.
