Cancer charity benefits from taster day

HOT stone massage, reflexology and threading were all popular with visitors to Revive in Western Road during its taster day.

Janine Pay and her team at Revive Massage and Beauty raised £450 for Macmillan nurses by offering the chance to sample different treatments and therapies - bamboo massage also was of great interest to those taking part.

Everyone who donated was put into a prize draw and the winner received a free treatment session.

The day helped to raise awareness of the benefits of different massage and beauty therapies can provide to patients and families affected by cancer.

Janine was mindful of the amount of people she meets during the course of her day who experience cancer so she thought Macmillan would be a worthy cause to raise money for.

Janine opened in January with the idea of creating a beauty salon with a calm and quiet atmosphere where clients can retreat and relax.

Since then Hazel Adams and Frankie Hilton have joined the team and both specialise in various treatments such as reflexology.
