Cancer Research UK Christmas fayre

Santa was there to keep the children entertained and the many kindly donated items for sale, kept shoppers happy at this well supported event.

Colourful stalls sold everything for the Christmas season including books, videos, gifts, jewellery, advent calendars, bric a brac, cards and wrapping paper.

There was a raffle a tombola and the ever popular home-made cakes, served with teas and coffees, kept the festively dressed volunteers busy, and were much in demand.

Chairman Doris Borrman said they were pleased that despite the cold weather so many people had turned up to support the event adding, "We are very lucky to have so many kind local people who will support us no matter what the weather is like."
