Car boot seller convicted for copyright theft

A car booter was prosecuted for selling pirate movies at Glyne Gap.

He was arrested on May 30 having been discovered selling counterfeit films hidden by a rug.

These included recent cinema releases such as Robin Hood and Sherlock Holmes which are not yet available to buy.

He was selling them for 10 for four, and had 544 films seized by Sussex Police, 70 of which were pornographic.

Fuqing Wang appeared at Hastings Magistrates Court the next day where he pleaded guilty to copyright theft and received 18 months conditional discharge.
