The car was seen on Kings Drive with its bonnet open along with a fire engine.
A spokesperson from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said, “We were called at 4:44pm to reports of a car fire near Rodmill Pub, Kings Drive, Eastbourne
“Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put out the fire before handing the scene over to the police to manage the traffic.”
