CAR IN BEACON PLUNGE
AN EIGHTY-year-old man was rescued by fire fighters after his car left the road and went down a bank on Ditchling Beacon Road, south of Westmeston Farm, at 11.13pm on Monday night.
The man was unhurt but, because of his age, was unable to climb back up to the road.
Firefighters were called to assist. He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
