Care home has '˜action plan' in place following CQC rating
Beech Hurst Care Home in Butler’s Green Road had an unannounced visit from the Care Quality Commision (CQC) on January 23.
Their report, which has since been published, revealed areas of practice that still required improvement, after an inspection in June last year.

Watchdogs found improvements had been made in most of the required areas, however, further improvements were still needed in relation to the provision of meaningful activities and the mealtime experience, the report said.
A Care UK spokesperson said: “We were pleased to see that the inspectors recognised that improvements had been made and that everyone they spoke to said the residents and their families were treated with respect and dignity.
“We already have a comprehensive action plan in place to address those areas where we could do even better. This plan includes more training for colleagues, helping residents at meal times and a focus on more tailored activities and events for residents.”
