Care home rated as ‘Inadequate’
A Crowhurst Care home which looks after people suffering from dementia has been labelled inadequate following a Quality Care Commission report.
The report on Green Hill at Station Road is disputed by owner Caroline Rook, who says she has poured hundreds of thousands of pounds into the business.
But this week the granddaughter of a former resident spoke of poor hygiene, an overwhelming stench of urine and residents given tiny portions of food they could not eat.
She said she feels her grandfather suffered neglect while at Green Hill and has now moved him to another home.
